JUDr. Roman Fogta, our founder:
"For more than 10 years at the bar, I have been primarily involved in drafting contracts, particularly in the area of commercial law.
It is the most creative and demanding part of the normal legal agenda, as it requires both knowledge of the specific process (for example, in construction law) and practical legal experience to ensure that the client has all the situations that may arise during the performance of the contract.
We'd rather not talk about form contracts and unlicensed "internet consultants" at all, okay?"
Our primary goal is to provide our clients with high quality legal advice and services, but at the same time not to complicate the course of their business, and to help our clients achieve their business goals.
We are convinced that the success of our clients to date is also a reflection of our professionalism and our ability to protect their interests in a challenging environment such as commercial law in Slovakia.
The lawyer's role in drafting a commercial contract is not to complicate the deal, but to anticipate any negative or contentious situations that may arise in the future and to modify them in the contract so that everyone involved knows how to proceed. And, of course, to protect the client's interests.
Sometimes drafting a contract is like a pessimist's worst dream - clients agree on the basics, but the role of a good lawyer is to cover what they haven't thought of and, in particular, to describe in the contract any critical, contentious or negative situations that may arise. Then the contract is as it should be. Even a high school student can write who, to whom, what, when, and for how much.
A good contract is something else. And not every lawyer can do it.
